Low Fat Diet
The low fat diet is designed to limit the total amount of fat in the diet.
It may be used in the treatment of various fat malabsorption syndromes such as the disease of the liver, gall bladder and pancreas, small bowel resection, intestinal lymphangiectasia, abetalipoproteinemia, crohn's disease, AIDS, and gastroesophageal reflux.
It may also be used for persons with elevated serum cholesterol levels, those who are high-risk candidates for heart disease and for weight management.
